HGV Class 2 Driver

CLASS 2 HGV MULTI DROP DRIVER (working within the food delivery business) Chepstow area (NP16)

4am-6am starts (9 hours per day) £18.22ph Inc (Just weekend work)

Working with one of the leading food distribution companies within the UK delivering to schools, care homes, hotels, and local shops.

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations using box units.

Duties:

1. Drive Class 2 lorries to transport goods to designated locations.
2. Load and unload safely and securely.
3. Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns before and after each trip.
4. Follow traffic laws and regulations at all times.
5. Maintain accurate driving logs and records.
6. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and colleagues.
7. Adhere to delivery schedules and deadlines.

Qualifications:

1. Hold a valid Commercial Driving Licence (CPC, DIGI, and less than 6 points).
2. 12 months driving a similar vehicle.
3. Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably with flatbed experience.
4. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
5. Ability to drive long distances while adhering to road safety regulations.
6. Strong physical stamina for loading/unloading cargo and long hours of driving.
7. Good communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
