About the role

This Behaviour Support Worker role involves supporting groups of children with additional needs such as ASD, PMLD, MLD, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will be required to work within group and 1:1 settings with a range of ages and levels of learning.

Your daily routine will involve continuously adapting and working alongside pupils to make their time in school as beneficial and productive as possible. Your main objective will be to support these pupils, ensuring they are not displaying any triggers or signs of unease.

Our main aim is to offer the best possible support to pupils. A nurturing, patient, and empathetic attitude will be key to being successful in this role.

About the school

Based in the Batley area and easily accessible via public transport, there is also ample car parking. We are continually seeking quality caring staff members, who with additional experience and training may eventually become full-time or even supply support staff members.

This school is looking to appoint a passionate Behaviour Support Worker to work in small groups and on a 1:1 basis with Special Educational Needs Children.

This part-time Behaviour Support Worker position is potentially long-term and permanent for the right candidate.

Requirements

  1. Have previous experience of working with children or young people; ideally within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play, or care setting within the last 2 years.
  2. We must be able to obtain valid references from these roles.
  3. Hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS, registered to the Update Service.

Salary

£80 to £105 per day. Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are:

  1. Recent experience obtained within the last 2 years, of working with children or young people, ideally within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play, or care setting. We must be able to obtain references from these roles.
