Salary: £29,320 - £35,480 PA, plus benefits
Location: Museum Depot at Acton / occasional Central London
Contract Type: 12 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT. Band 2 CA
Hours: Full-time role, but job share or part-time applicants are welcome.
Hybrid working: Most work will take place on-site due to the nature of the role.

Overview of role:
We seek a Librarian to help assess and catalogue unrecorded material held at our Library store. You will work with a small team to support our unique collection.
Key Accountabilities:
- Assess material according to the Library’s Collection Development Policy.
- Manage, organise and package collection items according to LTM guidelines.
- Catalogue Library collection items following international library standards.
- Contribute to project management by organising work to meet deadlines and supervising staff as required.

- Excellent IT skills, confident user of Microsoft Office (essential)

Knowledge:
- CILIP accredited degree or equivalent relevant experience (essential)
- Knowledge of current library practice in collection management (essential)
- Good working knowledge of a library management system (essential)
- Knowledge of library cataloguing standards (essential)
- Interest in transport, history or heritage (desirable)
Experience:
- Experience in a library service and library cataloguing (essential)
- Experience working with special collections or in a heritage setting (desirable)
- Experience managing staff or volunteers (desirable)
