Job description

Are you a Primary Teacher looking for a new challenge? Are you an ECT looking for your first role?

A ‘good’ primary school with ‘outstanding’ behaviour in Middlesbrough is looking to appoint a creative Key Stage 2 Primary Teacher to join their lively and engaging Primary School.

The headteacher would like to hear from candidates that have a real passion for humanities and RE as there may be an opportunity for a TLR.

The staff at the school pride themselves on being friendly and supportive – making the school feel homely and a real community!

The main Primary Teacher duties will include:

  1. Supporting the pupils in their education through the national curriculum
  2. Teaching and managing the behaviour of 23 pupils
  3. Working with a teaching assistant to implement interventions
  4. Planning and delivering creative and innovative lessons
  5. Using formative and summative assessment
  6. Planning and assessing phonics following the school’s chosen program
  7. Promoting independence with life skills
  8. Providing an outstanding level of safeguarding and pastoral care

The ideal candidate will:

  1. Be available for work Monday to Friday
  2. Hold a degree and QTS
  3. Have experience as a KS2 teacher (desirable not essential)
  4. ECTs are welcome to apply
  5. Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring
  6. Have an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with ourselves)
  7. Have a full checkable work history
