Position: Production Chemist
Location: Outskirts of Tonbridge
Salary: £25,000-£35,000pa + Benefits
Working Hours: Monday-Friday 8 am-4.30 pm

KHR is pleased to be partnered with a leading manufacturer with an excellent reputation for high-quality goods, who is recruiting a Production Chemist to join their team on a permanent contract.

As a Production Chemist, you will work closely with the Production and R&D teams to develop effective methods for transferring processes from R&D to Production while ensuring product safety and quality. You will conduct laboratory research to develop improved production methods and assist in developing new products.

Responsibilities of the Production Chemist:

1. Assist Production in the manufacture of process intermediates and identify continuous improvement initiatives
2. Conduct laboratory research to develop effective methods for transferring processes from R&D to Production
3. Ensure product safety and quality throughout the transfer process
4. Develop improved production methods through laboratory research
5. Assist in the development of new products
6. Lead and manage technology transfer activities
7. Establish cost-effective methods for technology transfer
8. Evaluate the feasibility of scaling up processes
9. Work closely with Production to conduct trial batches
10. Drive continuous improvement initiatives
11. Provide technical support to various departments
12. Run innovative research projects
13. Handle laboratory equipment safely
14. Maintain technical data
15. Procure raw materials
16. Raise cGMP documentation

Candidate Profile:

1. Degree in Chemistry or a relevant scientific subject
2. Lab-based experience
3. Expertise in manufacturing processes (desirable)
4. Knowledge of cGMP standards (desirable)
5. Experience in technology transfer (desirable)
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
7. Effective planning, organisational, and prioritisation skills
8. Attention to detail
9. Problem-solving and analytical skills
10. Clear communication skills at all levels
