The Vacancy
The HR Business Partner will contribute to the effectiveness of HR service delivery and will be an active participant and role model within the HR Team. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide expert advice, and contribute to HR projects that enhance organisational effectiveness.
The main purpose of this role is to work collaboratively with the business to help achieve their strategic goals by supporting on HR related project activity, providing first line advice, supporting with employment relations casework, and undertaking general HR transactional activities. The ideal candidate will have a responsive, client and solution-focused approach, delivering best practice, and commercial HR solutions.
The HR Business Partner must possess strong business acumen, as they will be required to understand the firm and its challenges to help address business area needs.
Role Responsibilities:
- Partnering with senior leaders to implement a HR agenda that is fully aligned to the organisation's strategic goals and long-term business plan
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on employee relations matters.
- Investigate and resolve workplace conflicts, grievances, and disciplinary issues, ensuring compliance with Employment legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Facilitate performance management processes.
- Lead or participate in HR projects related to organisational design, Employee engagement, business performance improvement, Talent &Development and HR policies.
- Develop project plans, track milestones, and communicate progress, collaborating with stakeholders to achieve project goals and aligning HR initiatives with business objectives.
- Analyse workforce data to identify trends and recommend actionable solutions, contributing to workforce planning and talent development strategies.
- Support organisational change initiatives by providing guidance, communication, and training, fostering a positive culture during transitions.
- Promote employee engagement through effective communication, recognition programs, and feedback mechanisms, monitoring employee satisfaction and address concerns.
- Perform role always ensuring adherence to the expected behaviours stated in the FCA Conduct Rules.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Previous HR experience operating in a similar role within a financial services organisation
- A strategic thinker with a commercial understanding of translating business goals into HR priorities
- Possess strong client service ethos, influencing and presentation skills to establish senior-level credibility and in-depth working knowledge of employment law, HR principles, policies, and procedures
- Demonstrate a flexible approach to meeting current and future business needs while developing trusting and productive relationships with clients and people at all levels, and working influentially with senior stakeholders
- Demonstrable organisational skills, with an ability to meet challenging deadlines
- Experience working and complying with SMCR requirements
- CIPD qualified or working towards the qualification required
- Extensive working knowledge of UK employment law and best HR practice application
