Job Description:

Job Title: Absolute Application Resilience Engineer
Duration: 6 Months
IR35 Status: INSIDE

We are recruiting for an Application Consultant with hands-on technical experience with Absolute Application Resilience & configuration.

This will be on an initial 6-month contract, working onsite in Knutsford (Cheshire), 2-3 days per week.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Architect and engineer Absolute Application Resilience solutions that align with corporate level strategies.
2. Create, review and maintain Absolute security solution documentation including documenting & publishing fixes in the central knowledge base.
3. Work with global teams to provide consistent processes and solutions.
4. Lead technical and strategic conversations with respect to Absolute and advise partners on complex technical deployments and guidance on Application Resilience and Recovery.

Technical Skills & Competencies

1. 3 - 4+ years of industry experience.
2. Hands-on technical experience with Absolute Application Resilience & configuration.
3. Experience designing and building high-performance, secure, scalable, observable, supportable, and maintainable backend services.
4. Knowledge of Tanium, MS Defender for Endpoint, and Zscaler.
5. Knowledge of Bitlocker agent configuration, logging, and health monitoring.
6. Experience with multiple cloud technologies (e.g., AWS and Azure).
7. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills across complex systems.
8. Able to articulate complicated processes to non-technical stakeholders.
9. Experience creating designs for the implementation of commercial off-the-shelf products.
10. Excellent troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
11. Experience in incident, problem, and change management processes.

Desirable:

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
2. Previous experience in the financial sector.
3. Demonstrates excellent judgment for balancing between rapid development, long-term code maintainability, and supportability.
4. Believes in the power of and the need for writing automated tests as part of development.
