Production Support Analyst

About the Role:
As a Production Support Analyst, you will have a proven track record of supporting and maintaining key business applications. This role will involve supporting a number of business-critical database applications, troubleshooting, and determining the appropriate course of action to resolve incidents with minimal disruption and impact.

Main Features of the Role:
The ideal candidates will work as part of a team to deliver against set service level agreements.

Responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring the resolution of Service Desk incidents in accordance with established standards, policies, procedures, configuration guidelines, and service level agreements.
• Interfacing with the customer during the investigation/resolution of incidents.
• Utilising application knowledge to effectively troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve problems.
• Responding to any customer work requests.
• Performing daily preventative maintenance checks to detect/resolve issues before they impact the business.
• Developing and releasing solutions to identified application defects.
• Providing system advice to the customer.
• Supporting the customer business cycles.
• Working to agreed shift participation.
• Industry experience within similar roles, with knowledge of incident management processes.
• 3+ years technical expertise developing/supporting critical high volume Java-based applications.
• Good communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Analytical approach.
• Team Player.
• Development or support experience using Oracle technology stack (e.g. SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle, Oracle Forms/Reports).
• Experience working under pressure in order to meet agreed SLAs.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix scripting.
