Senior Technical Program Manager, Nextgen Security Automation

Drive the creation of autonomous, AI-powered security solutions at Amazon scale. Build and manage technical programs that leverage agentic AI and applied intelligence. You'll work closely with engineering, science, and security teams to drive requirements and implementation of autonomous security capabilities that safeguard Amazon's infrastructure, customers, and innovations.

Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for managing technical programs that drive the development of AI-powered security automation solutions. Working closely with engineering teams, you will identify requirements, execute technical roadmaps and ensure successful delivery of key initiatives. You will develop and maintain program metrics to measure progress and success while fostering cross-team coordination to achieve program objectives. A critical aspect of your role will be building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules across multiple teams. You will partner extensively with product managers and engineers to drive execution, ensuring that our AI security initiatives meet their intended goals. Your ability to navigate complex technical landscapes and drive results through influence will be essential as you work to implement next-generation security capabilities.

Your day kicks off sipping your morning coffee or tea while diving into the future of autonomous security at Amazon. You meet with your customers to identify the requirements and technical solutions to build intelligent systems for proactive, offensive, and defensive security at Amazon scale. Working alongside top security engineers and scientists, you're building automated systems that will protect millions of customers across one of the world's largest tech ecosystems. Every line of code we write helps safeguard Amazon's vast digital landscape. It's a fast-paced environment where you'll work with advanced technology to build security solutions that protect millions of Amazon customers.

About the team
The NextGen Security Automation team builds AI-driven security solutions that protect millions of Amazon customers while ensuring strong data governance. We thrive on innovation, collaboration, and solving complex security challenges at scale. DEI is central to our work - we believe diverse perspectives drive stronger solutions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams
- 3+ years of software development experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence across teams
- Background in security, AI/ML, and cloud technologies
