Our client, a prestigious law firm, is seeking experienced consenting lawyers to join their market-leading Planning & Environment, Energy & Infrastructure team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in major projects that shape the UK’s infrastructure and energy landscape.

The Role

As a Consenting Lawyer, you will:

  • Advise on major energy and infrastructure projects, providing legal support on planning applications, environmental assessments, and consenting processes.
  • Work on high-profile Development Consent Orders and Transport and Works Act Orders.
  • Handle matters involving the Planning Act 2008, Town and Country Planning Act 1990, compulsory acquisition and compensation, EIA/HRA, inquiries/examinations, and judicial review.
  • Collaborate closely with Energy & Infrastructure specialists on nationally significant schemes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Ideally 4-8 years PQE with strong experience in planning, environmental, or infrastructure law.
  • Background in a large regional or national practice preferred.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following: Development Consent Orders, Transport and Works Act Orders, compulsory acquisition, environmental assessments, and judicial review.
  • Strong commercial awareness, business development skills, and a proactive approach.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
