Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager required to join a leading global Mechanical Engineering Manufacturer.
The successful Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager will focus on developing new business opportunities and managing key accounts for mechanical handling related equipment such as conveyors, chains, sprockets, valves, lubrication, and similar products/systems across the North of the UK, from Leeds up to and including Scotland.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience selling mechanical handling products or technical mechanical engineering products/solutions, ideally within manufacturing, food, biomass waste/power generation, or similar.

Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager Role
- Develop new business opportunities and manage key accounts for mechanical handling related equipment such as conveyors, chains, sprockets, valves, lubrication, and similar products/systems.
- Maintain mechanical handling product and system sales with demonstration, exhibition, and negotiation to achieve targets.
- Responsible for pre-sales technical assistance as well as providing end solution/application support for all customer needs/requirements.
- Provide after-sales support services and provide technical backup as required to customers within a variety of industries such as construction, mining, manufacturing, food, biomass waste/power generation, and more.
- Work remotely/field-based covering North of the UK and Scotland with regular visits to customer sites.
- Liaise with various engineering departments.
Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager Requirements
- Experience as a Key Account Manager, Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer or similar within a mechanical engineering environment.
- Experience selling or managing key accounts for mechanical handling related equipment/MRO products such as conveyors, chains, sprockets, valves, lubrication, bearings, motors, gearboxes, and similar products/systems is highly desirable, however, having sold similar mechanical products into related industries is also of interest.
- Candidates with proven sales experience in industries such as construction, mining, manufacturing, food, biomass waste/power generation are strongly advised to apply.
- Full clean driving license.
- Willingness to operate remotely with travel to customer sites across the North of the UK, including Scotland.
