About The Role

Are you a passionate and experienced Veterinary Receptionist looking for an exciting opportunity in London? Look no further! Here at the award-winning, thriving Streatham Hill Veterinary Surgery, we are currently looking for a dedicated individual to join our incredible team as a Veterinary Receptionist.

Our practice is renowned for delivering exceptional care and service to our clients' lovely pets. We pride ourselves on our commitment to providing the very best veterinary care while creating a warm and welcoming environment for our teams, our patients, and their owners.

As a Veterinary Receptionist, you'll be the first point of contact for our clients, greeting them with a smile and giving their pets a good old fuss! You'll assist them with scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, and providing general support.

Your day at Streatham Hill could include:

  1. Welcoming clients and their pets upon arrival
  2. Booking appointments and arrivals on the RX Works diary
  3. Helping to promote our Healthcare Plan so that pets receive premium discounted preventative treatment
  4. Booking follow-up appointments for the pet after their initial consultation
  5. Assisting the Vet and Nurse team with queries
  6. Being responsible for scanning paperwork onto pets' digital records
  7. Liaising with clients regarding queries for appointment booking and medication collection
  8. Ordering food and medication
  9. Taking payment immediately after treatment of the pet
  10. Processing 0% finance applications for clients wanting to spread the cost of payment for larger operations
  11. Managing an extremely busy reception desk with efficiency and professionalism

This is a Full-Time position, working 40 hours per week, with a mix of shift patterns between 7:30am-8pm, and 1:4 weekends. You will also be required to work a share of bank holidays per year.

About You

Ideally, you will have:

  • Previous experience working as a Veterinary Receptionist or in a similar customer-facing role within the Veterinary industry
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational abilities and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • A genuine love for animals and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software, with experience using RxWorks being a massive plus!
