About Our Client

We are working with a small independent day school for children aged 4-19 years old, providing support to those with a diagnosis of autism.

Job Description

  1. Carry out teaching sessions with pupils.
  2. Record programme data as instructed by the Class Leader.
  3. Work towards full-time 1:1 teaching and keyworker responsibilities.
  4. Supervise indoor and outdoor playtime and lunch on a rota basis.
  5. Participate in staff meetings and training.
  6. Provide personal care to those pupils who require assistance (toileting, nappy changing, and feeding).
  7. Work as part of the classroom team providing support and instruction to children with autism and related communication disorders.

The Successful Applicant

  1. Patience and excellent communication skills are essential.
  2. Believe in promoting independence.
  3. Happy to be involved with physical activities including swimming, cycling, trampolining, and horse riding.
  4. Ideally have worked within an education or support worker environment.

What's on Offer

  1. Permanent contract.
