Wayman Education is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Upper KS2 Teacher to join a reputable ‘Good’ one-form primary school in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will be passionate about education and have a proven track record of delivering excellent teaching in an Upper KS2 setting. Aside from that, the successful Upper KS2 Teacher will work collaboratively with the school team to ensure all students receive a positive and engaging learning experience.

The School

This is a vibrant and exceptional one-form entry school in Hertfordshire. It is easily accessible by public transport and is seeking to appoint a qualified Primary teacher from April 2024. The school has a Good Ofsted rating and has a supportive culture, making it an excellent place for both students and staff members.

Responsibilities of an Upper KS2 Teacher:

1. Responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.
2. Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses.
3. Further developing maths ability and introducing fractions, statistics, and geometry.
4. Helping children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.
5. Keeping track of children's progress and occasionally reporting back to parents.
6. Creating a positive learning environment that is both safe and conducive for learning.
7. Collaborating with school management, teaching staff, and parents to provide quality academic support for Upper KS2 students.

Upper KS2 Teacher Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or above in Education, or related field.
2. Teaching qualification and QTS.
3. At least 1 year of experience in teaching Upper KS2 students.
4. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
5. Passion for working with children and a commitment to providing high-quality education.
6. Ability to create and present engaging and interactive lesson plans.
7. Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and school staff.
