Senior Biochemical Engineer - Biopolymer Scale Up - £50-65k + equity/shares - Oxford


My client is at the forefront of bioprocessing and sustainable biochemical solutions, developing cutting-edge technologies for industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and industrial bioprocessing.


Due to growth and investment, they're looking for a Senior Biochemical Engineer to join their team. You'll report into the CEO and COO and lead a team of 2 engineers, with the opportunity to grow the team and become a department lead as the company scales.


Playing a key role in their innovation and development you'll:

  1. Lead the design, development, and optimization of biochemical processes.
  2. Scale up and troubleshoot fermentation, enzymatic, and cell culture-based production systems.
  3. Collaborate with R&D, engineers, and regulatory teams to develop innovative solutions.
  4. Work on projects that have a global impact, driving sustainability and efficiency in bioprocessing.

They're looking for a degree qualified chemical engineer, ideally with experience in small scale bioprocessing or upstream pharmaceuticals, and experience in managing/leading a team.


You'll be joining a company in its infancy, with huge scale potential, and have the opportunity to grow with the company, expanding your team and becoming the head of the department. You'll be rewarded with equity and shares within the company, alongside other benefits.
