Finance Manager - Rotherham - Permanent - 30k DOE

Your new company

Hays are delighted to be working with this manufacturing company based in Rotherham to recruit a Finance Manager.

Your new role

  1. Ensure all data entry is current and accurate, leading to error-free financial records and efficient reporting.
  2. Produce reports for the General Manager, providing insights for review and discussion, aiding informed decision-making.
  3. Support and train the accounts' administrator, contributing to continuous staff development and improved team performance.
  4. Process invoices and customer payments promptly, maintaining smooth financial operations.
  5. Keep bank and client reconciliations up-to-date, ensuring accuracy in financial records.
  6. Complete financial accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with internal requirements.
  7. Deliver regular reports to management, providing clear financial overviews when needed.
  8. Carry out month/year-end procedures accurately and on time, ensuring timely financial closures.
  9. Settle all HMRC demands promptly, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  10. Perform journals and accounting adjustments to maintain accurate financial statements.
  11. Work with external accounting firms to prepare statutory accounts and support year-end audits, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  12. Manage payroll processes and implement any required changes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to staff.
What you'll need to succeed
  1. Ideally, AAT level 3 or equivalent
  2. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working as a Finance Manager or 3-5 years in finance / management accounting.
  3. They will have an in-depth understanding of preparing management accounts, managing budgets, and handling full balance sheet reconciliations.
