Assistant Analyst

We're seeking an efficient and detail-oriented Assistant Analyst to support our Transport & Distribution department based in Manchester. This role plays a pivotal part in enhancing operational efficiency and data analysis within the team, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring that customer's needs are met.

Description

Duties of the Assistant Analyst:

1. Supporting the team with data collection and analysis, providing opportunities for innovation.
2. Supporting the technical delivery of analytical activities.
3. Assisting in the preparation of analytical reports and presentations.
4. Collaborating with multiple teams to gather necessary data.
5. Implementing quality assurance procedures to ensure data integrity.
6. Participating in departmental meetings and providing analytical insights.
7. Assisting in the development of operational efficiency strategies.
8. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and developments.
9. Providing administrative support to the Secretarial & Business Support department as needed.

Profile

A successful Assistant Analyst should have:

1. A degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
2. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel for data analysis.
3. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
4. Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
5. Knowledge of the Transport & Distribution industry.
6. Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
