We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Material Controller / Warehouse Supervisor to lead our warehouse operations with a focus on material management, inventory control, and logistics coordination. This pivotal role ensures the efficient handling and timely delivery of construction materials while maintaining high standards in equipment preservation and logistics. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with logistics, expediting, and construction teams to support smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Coordination & Expediting:
Collaborate with logistics, expediting, and construction teams to track, process, and deliver shipments on schedule, avoiding construction delays.
Prioritize and manage materials essential for ongoing and upcoming construction activities.
Address shipment delays or issues promptly, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines.
Work closely with internal and external warehouse operators to facilitate efficient material flow.
Coordinate material deliveries to construction sites in alignment with project requirements.
Laydown Area Supervision:
Oversee and manage laydown areas, ensuring efficient utilization and adherence to internal processes.
Develop and implement short- and long-term plans for laydown area use, coordinating effectively with contractors.
Material Status Reporting & Inventory Control:
Prepare accurate and timely reports on material availability, delivery progress, and order discrepancies.
Communicate material requirements to teams based on project timelines and construction needs.
Maintain precise inventory records for internal and external warehouses, tracking materials from receipt to usage.
Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and inventory checks to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Oversee safe and efficient material storage, adhering to company procedures and safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience in warehouse management, material control, and logistics, emphasizing material handling, expediting, and inventory control.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including laydown area management, stock control, and material preservation.
Hands-on experience collaborating with procurement, construction, and expediting teams to achieve timely material delivery.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
