About Our Client

The client is a large national law firm with offices across the UK. The firm has a reputation as a great place to work and they advise clients across a range of sectors. They have a growing Commercial Property team in Leeds and now seek a Paralegal / Legal Executive to advise investors and developers on their residential property work.

Job Description

The Property Paralegal / Legal Executive will deal with a range of work including;

Advising investors and developers
Dealing with their own caseload of freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
Acting for developers on disposing of plots of new build housing.
Supporting senior fee earners on complex transactions
Maintaining and building relationships with clients

The Successful Applicant

The successful Property Paralegal / Legal Executive should have:

Previous experience advising on both freehold and leasehold transactions as well as new build housing developments
Experience of statutory lease extensions and enfranchisement under the Leasehold Reform Act 1967 and/or Leasehold Reform Housing and Urban Development Act 1993
An understanding of common issues in the sector such as the Building Safety Act and leasehold reforms
Good knowledge of the UK Lenders Handbook and the requirements of mortgage lenders.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload
Strong communication skills with an ability to build strong interpersonal relationships
Enthusiastic outlook and a keenness to work collaboratively with colleagues at junior and senior levels
