Summary
We seek a Registered Children's Manager to join our team at Ascenda Care. In this role, you will oversee the care and well-being of children within our services. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring we provide exceptional support and services to families.
Responsibilities
- Act as the Registered Manager per Children’s Homes Regulations (2015) and oversee the daily operations of children's care services to ensure high standards are met.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans for each child.
- Supervise and support staff in delivering quality care and support.
- Conduct regular assessments of children's needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Foster a safe and nurturing environment for children and their families.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and health and safety standards.
- Oversee budgeting, resourcing, and improvement planning for the home.
- Monitor and evaluate service delivery to achieve positive outcomes for young people.
Requirements
- Registered Manager qualification or equivalent experience in children's care.
- Strong understanding of medication administration and health regulations.
- Proven experience in supervising staff within a care setting.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
- Experience in developing care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, families, and staff.
Experience
- Residential Childcare: 2 years (required)
- Supervising: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to work toward it).
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a senior role within a children’s residential setting.
- Sound knowledge of OFSTED requirements and safeguarding procedures.
- Strong leadership, communication, and performance management skills.
- Full UK manual driving licence (desirable).
