Overview
We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various roofing techniques and materials, demonstrating a strong ability to work at heights and manage the physical demands of the role. This position requires a commitment to safety and quality workmanship, ensuring that roofs are installed or repaired to the highest standards.

Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain various types of roofing systems, including flat and pitched roofs.
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively for roofing tasks.
• Conduct inspections of roofs to identify issues or areas needing repair.
• Fabricate roofing materials as required for specific projects.
• Perform heavy lifting and manoeuvre materials safely on-site.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and masons, to ensure comprehensive project completion.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Skills

• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing tasks.
• Experience with welding techniques for metal roofing applications is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding conditions.
• Knowledge of masonry techniques may be beneficial for certain roofing projects.
• Familiarity with building codes and regulations related to roofing installations.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to plumb structures accurately during installation or repairs.
