Job description

We have a new opportunity for our accredited Reinsurance Broker who is seeking a Reinsurance Technician specialising in Global Facultative Property Reinsurance to lead and assist in the retention and development of our clients portfolio.

Responsibilities:

1. Liaising with brokers and underwriters
2. Providing broker support through interaction with the broker team preparing renewal statistics
3. All aspects of providing support to prepare slips
4. Creation of forms, spreadsheets and bordereaux
5. Preparation of cover notes, issuing debit and credit notes to clients
6. Creation of policies slips and endorsements as required
7. Assisting with all aspects of providing support to prepare slips, bordereaux, creation of policies slips and endorsements as required. Dealing directly with clients by phone and email and ensuring that all correspondence is dealt with promptly
8. Corresponding on a regular basis with overseas insurers
9. Maintaining company databases including a physical filing system
10. Processing premium and claims on Lirma / Xchanging
11. Responsible for the collection and management of outstanding debt as per agreed procedures
12. Responsible for the balancing of cashbooks for premium bank accounts
13. Render any statements in a timely fashion
14. To allocate receipts and payments posted, investigate differences and liaise with the technical team and brokers
15. Ensure payment requests are prepared accurately and efficiently
16. Review bank reconciliations daily and deal with queries
17. Maintain and monitor the Insurers log on a regular basis
18. Production of month end bordereau for review and submission to carriers

Role Requirements:

1. Must have 2+ years’ experience within Reinsurance.
2. Must have previous experience in slip production;

Preferred:

1. Ideally have had previous exposure to working within the Caribbean Latin American & North African Reinsurance Markets;
2. Insurance qualifications are desired – full support provided.
