An established industry player is seeking a Clinical Governance Officer to provide high-quality support to their clinical governance team. Established in 1932, The London Clinic is one of the UK's largest independently owned non-profit hospitals, with state-of-the-art facilities located on Harley Street. We have circa 1200 employees, a total of 8 premises, and we are dedicated to providing the best, personalised healthcare with a breadth of surgical and medical expertise. Our main hospital spans 8 floors comprising of 234 beds and 10 theatres. Other premises include The Duchess of Devonshire Wing (Cancer Centre), The London Clinic Eye Centre and 4 premises providing consulting room suites and diagnostic services.
The Clinical Governance Officer will provide high-quality support to the clinical governance team, collaborating closely with the Head of Clinical Governance to undertake various key administrative and support functions. This role represents an excellent opportunity for an experienced officer with strong administrative skills, a solid understanding of essential IT systems (such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), and the ability to prioritize a diverse workload.
Although this role will support clinical governance overall, it will focus on being pivotal in promoting patient safety improvement initiatives and ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality care. Additionally, the role will contribute to developing actions that address patient safety risks and improve care outcomes, working closely with clinical teams to track and evidence the actions taken and the impact of these improvements.
The Clinical Governance Officer will possess a solid understanding of the pillars of clinical governance, emphasizing patient safety, compliance, complaints, and audits, as well as the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF).
As a Clinical Governance Officer, you will provide high-quality support to the clinical governance team, working closely with the Head of Clinical Governance to undertake a variety of key administrative and support functions.
