Full-time Maths Teacher

A secondary school in Basingstoke, Hampshire, is seeking a full-time Maths Teacher to join their team in September 2025. The role offers a competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced educators and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to inspire and support students in their mathematical learning.

About the Role:

As a Maths Teacher, you will take on full teaching responsibilities, including lesson planning, assessments, report writing, and participation in parents' evenings. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons that help students build confidence in their mathematical abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is desirable but not essential).
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing tailored support to ensure academic success.
• Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and report writing.
• Encourage problem-solving, critical thinking, and logical reasoning in students.
• Maintain strong classroom management and foster a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Maths curriculum and share best practices.

Job Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent – ECTs are encouraged to apply.
• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and a passion for teaching.
• The ability to inspire and engage students of varying abilities.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality education and student achievement.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
