About the Role:
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the learning, development, and well-being of children in an Early Years setting based in Kettering. Working closely with teachers and other staff, you will help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the teacher in delivering engaging and creative activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Assisting with the social and emotional development of children, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Helping to set up and maintain a safe, clean, and inviting classroom space.
Observing and recording children's progress, contributing to assessments and planning.
Supporting children with additional needs, where required.
Engaging with parents and carers to build strong, supportive relationships.
What We're Looking For:
Experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting.
A recognised childcare or teaching assistant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, or equivalent).
A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach.
A strong understanding of child development and the EYFS framework.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
