About Farley SteepleNestled in a beautiful Wiltshire village, at Farley Steeple Langford, you'll find our Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ outdoor learning environment.

About you
You are an experienced Early Years Educator / Practitioner / Nursery Nurse or similar and you're looking for a role that provides variety and the flexibility to work around your other commitments. You love supporting and encouraging the natural curiosity and excitement of young children and were born to teach and shape the future of our younger generations.

What you'll be doing
In this role, you will provide cover for the children as needed. This could be for periods of holiday, sickness, or vacancy gaps. Sometimes you'll support for a full day, or it may just be a morning or afternoon session. You'll likely start most of your days with a fully formulated plan, but pivoting when circumstances call for it is a regular occurrence in child care! Creativity is key. Teaching young children allows for hands-on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games. It’s important to keep things fresh and try new activities to keep attention spans engaged. Of course, we work within the EYFS standards, but that doesn't stop you from engaging your creative flair and enthusiasm for learning.

What you'll need

  • Ideally, you'll have a full and relevant Level 2 or above qualification within early years; however, we can sometimes consider unqualified Educators, as long as they demonstrate the necessary qualities, values, and enthusiasm for working within this environment.
  • Experience as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner) or having worked with children under the age of 5 is advantageous.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS is desirable.
  • Reflecting the Storal values around responsibility, openness, and working together.

What you'll get

  • Competitive rates of pay dependent on experience, qualification, and NMW age guidance.
  • Performance-related bonuses.
  • 50% childcare discount.
  • Annual wellness day off.
  • Access to retail and other discounts through Perkbox.
  • 20 days holidays (plus bank holiday), increasing to 22 days after 2 years service and 25 days after 5 years service.
  • Dedicated learning and development support.
  • Access to one-to-one confidential counselling sessions through our Employee Assistance Programme.
