Job title: Early Careers and Skills Development Coach

Location: Samlesbury – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £41,997- £45,079

What you’ll be doing:

  • Effective recording / reporting of performance data in support of delivery outstanding outcomes for learners.
  • The coaching and development of employees and learners through off-the-job training courses, welfare support and careers guidance to aid their progression, attainment and transition into the business.
  • Embed modern learning practice such as skills competitions and problem-based learning as an integral part of the learning and assessment programme.
  • Develop programme content and teaching, learning and assessment methodologies to meet individual learner and business needs.
  • Providing and monitoring the effective safeguarding, SHE, welfare and support arrangements for learners whilst on Early Careers & Skills programmes.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement to ensure practitioner skills and programme content is current and aligned to business needs.
  • Enact effective programme delivery that utilises a coaching and blended learning pedagogy to train, monitor, develop and assess apprentices against relevant qualification Standards/frameworks in support of them attaining occupational competence.

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Industrial/Domestic Electrical experience (Time served).
  • Skilled professional with a track record of occupational competence.
  • Effective coaching and mentoring skills.

Desirable:

  • Pastoral support awareness.
  • A1 or TAQA.
  • PLC experience.

The Early Careers team:

This role will provide you with the opportunity to coach Apprentices to reach their full potential by providing key support, mentoring, challenge, and motivation throughout all aspects of their learning journey. You will be based in the £25m purpose-built modern Academy for Skills and Knowledge as BAE Systems continue to invest record amounts in early careers.
