The Role of an Early Career Teacher (ECT) - Primary:

As an ECT, you'll engage and inspire young learners, delivering high-quality lessons tailored to different abilities. You'll create a stimulating classroom, assess progress, and support students' academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities of an Early Career Teacher (ECT) - Primary:

Plan & deliver engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum
Teach KS2 (ages 7-11) pupils
Use varied teaching methods to suit different learning styles
Assess progress & provide feedback
Create a positive, inclusive learning environment
Collaborate with colleagues for effective teaching strategies

What You Need to be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) - Primary:

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
Experience as an ECT or in a similar primary teaching role
Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
Ability to motivate & inspire students
Commitment to safeguarding & child welfare

This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Successful applicants must pass all background and safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
