Job Title: Early Career Teacher (Supply)
Location: Sleaford
Salary: £150 - £180 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: After Easter 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Are you an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) ready to launch your teaching journey in a supportive and engaging environment?

GSL Education are welcoming applications from Early Career Teacher (ECT) for exciting supply teaching opportunities in Sleaford, starting after Easter 2025. This is a fantastic way to gain valuable classroom experience, build your confidence, and explore different school settings as you begin your teaching career.

About the Role:

As an ECT, you'll have the opportunity to teach across different schools, year groups or subject specialisms (depending on your background), with the flexibility and guidance to support your development as a new teacher.


Early Career Teacher Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  2. Adapt teaching to meet the needs of individual learners.
  3. Manage classroom behaviour effectively and create a positive learning environment.
  4. Contribute to the wider school community where possible.
  5. Take part in ongoing CPD and ECT induction support as available.

Early Career Teacher Requirements:

  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - recent graduates welcome.
  2. A genuine passion for teaching and a desire to grow professionally.
  3. Strong classroom presence and effective communication skills.
  4. Flexibility, reliability and a proactive attitude.
  5. A full CV covering the past 10 years (with any gaps explained).
  6. An enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
