About the Role:

As an ECT Maths Teacher, you will teach Key Stage 3 and 4 Maths, delivering engaging and meaningful lessons that help students develop a solid understanding of the subject. You'll work closely with senior colleagues and receive tailored guidance throughout your ECT programme.

Key Responsibilities of an ECT Maths Teacher:

1. Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum
2. Inspire and challenge students to develop analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
3. Assess, record, and report on student progress effectively
4. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for learning
5. Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and senior leadership
6. Actively participate in CPD and the school's structured ECT induction programme

Requirements to be an ECT Maths Teacher:

1. QTS or working towards QTS as part of the ECT framework
2. A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject
3. Strong classroom presence and effective behaviour management skills
4. Experience teaching or tutoring secondary-level Maths
5. A positive, can-do attitude and a desire to continually develop
6. A full, up-to-date CV with references covering the last 10 years
7. Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
