TEFL Assistant required for a Teaching Assistant role in Hammersmith & Fulham

Are you a high-achieving English Graduate with the necessary subject knowledge and personality to support students with English as an Additional Language?

Would you like to work as an EAL/TEFL Tutor and provide access to the curriculum for students with a very limited level of English?

A high-performing, highly inclusive, and very successful Secondary School in Hammersmith & Fulham, West London, is looking to appoint a TEFL Tutor for an initial 1-year placement through until July 2025.

TEFL Intervention Tutor - Job Details:

1. TEFL Tutor role in an 'Outstanding' Hammersmith & Fulham Secondary
2. Supporting students with EAL (low-level and limited English)
3. Delivering 1:1 and small group English sessions
4. September 2023 start date, through until July 2025
5. Opportunity to start your teacher training from September 2023 through the SCITT programme
6. £95.00 - £105 per day | £500 - £550 per week (inclusive of holiday pay)
7. Suitable for an aspiring English Teacher looking for school-based experience

This TEFL Tutor role is an excellent opportunity for an English Graduate to work alongside the English and Inclusion departments and to work with students who have been identified as needing additional support. You will use your excellent subject knowledge as an English Graduate to support these students in 1:1 and small group TEFL Intervention sessions. The school would like to receive applications from First-Class or 2:1 English Graduates, ideally with relevant TEFL experience.

This EAL Tutor opportunity will commence from September 2024 following a successful interview and will run until the end of the academic year (July 2025), in the first instance. From September 2025, you could be offered a place on the school's School Direct ITT programme, making this EAL role ideal for aspiring English Teachers.
