Group Financial Controller (Interim)

A dynamic and fast-growing organisation within the business services sector is seeking an accomplished Interim Group Financial Controller to join its leadership team.

This contract is for three to six months.

Role Overview: As Group Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in driving the organisation’s financial strategy, ensuring robust governance, and delivering operational excellence. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead a talented finance team and oversee all financial aspects of the business, including strategic planning, budgeting, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the group’s financial strategy to support long-term growth and profitability.
• Lead the preparation of financial reports, forecasts, and budgets, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee cash flow, funding, and capital management activities.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and implement robust internal controls.
• Provide financial insights to the leadership team, influencing decision-making and strategic initiatives.
• Manage and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
• Identify and assess opportunities for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic partnerships.
• Act as a key point of contact for external stakeholders, including auditors, investors, and regulatory bodies.

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, ideally within the business services sector.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, with a track record of delivering financial excellence.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present clear recommendations.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities, with a collaborative and proactive approach.
• Experience in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment is highly desirable.
