We are looking for an Integration Tester to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will focus on validating end-to-end system integrations, ensuring that different components and services work seamlessly together. You will be responsible for identifying and resolving integration issues, supporting robust digital services for GOV.UK.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Testing : Design, develop, and execute integration test plans and cases to validate interactions between software components, services, and APIs.

API Testing : Conduct extensive API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar to verify request/response flows, error handling, and performance.

System Interoperability : Ensure smooth interoperability between different applications, third-party services, and legacy systems.

Defect Identification & Resolution : Detect, document, and troubleshoot integration issues, working closely with developers and stakeholders to resolve defects efficiently.

Test Automation : Implement automated integration tests within CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard frameworks and tools.

Data Validation & Transformation : Validate data flows between integrated components, ensuring correctness, consistency, and compliance with business rules.

Performance & Load Testing : Assess system performance under different load conditions to ensure scalability and reliability of integrated services.

Compliance & Security Testing : Ensure integration solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements, particularly for GOV.UK services.

Required Skills & Experience

Communication Skills :

Strong verbal and written communication skills to document integration scenarios, report issues, and collaborate with development teams.

Ability to articulate testing strategies and integration approaches to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Technical Skills :

Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or REST-assured.

Proficiency in using test management tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or TestRail.

Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks for integration testing.

Strong knowledge of SQL for validating data integrity across integrated systems.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

Understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems.

Experience with message queue services such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS.

Knowledge of security and authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, and SAML.

Awareness of different agile methodologies and ability to work effectively in an agile, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Qualification Certificates :

Security Clearance (BPSS and/or SC) or willingness to undergo the clearance process required to work on sensitive government projects.

Nice to Have Skills :

Experience of working in UK public sector engagements.

Familiarity with GDS standards and GOV.UK service design principles.

Performance testing experience using tools like JMeter or Gatling.

Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
