The role as a Learning Mentor and what it entails:

1. Provide individualised support to students, addressing their emotional, social, and educational needs.
2. Assist with classroom activities, ensuring students are engaged and participating.
3. Support and encourage emotional awareness.
4. Monitor and document student behaviour and provide feedback.
5. Participate in training and professional development to enhance your skills.
6. Provide 1 to 1 and group support to children with social, emotional and mental health needs.

The perfect Learning Mentor will be:

You will ideally have some experience working with children in some capacity. You must be patient and proactive. Enthusiasm is a big one, as these children need to be encouraged and supported to reach their goals. You must have a DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one.
