Murray Recruitment are recruiting a Health, Safety & Training Lead for our client based in North Lanarkshire.


This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive health and safety professional to take ownership of HSE within a growing SME. This standalone role offers the chance to shape policies, enhance compliance, and deliver impactful training, making a real difference in a specialist industry.


Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Director, the successful candidate will lead all health and safety initiatives across the business, ensuring compliance, maintaining accreditations, and delivering both internal and client training.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Take full ownership of health and safety compliance, ensuring adherence to industry regulations.
  2. Conduct in-house training, including toolbox talks, to support engineers and project teams.
  3. Carry out risk assessments for all projects and sites.
  4. Manage and maintain company accreditations, ensuring they remain up to date.
  5. Oversee and update the company's training matrix.
  6. Deliver specialist training to clients on the maintenance of systems.

Skills & Experience
  1. Proven experience in a health and safety role within the water treatment or construction industry.
  2. NEBOSH qualification is essential.
  3. Strong knowledge of risk assessments, compliance, and industry accreditations.
  4. Experience in delivering training, both internally and to external clients, is advantageous.
  5. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
