CNC Turner

Job Purpose

We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner to operate CNC Fanuc Manual turning machines efficiently, ensuring precision, quality, and safety in all tasks. This role requires adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safe working practices, and contributing to a clean, organized, and collaborative work environment. Applicants must have at least 5 years of machining experience, be proficient in operating Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes, and be able to read and interpret customer drawings.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC and manual lathes to produce high-precision components.
• Perform both roughing and finishing operations with accuracy.
• Ensure all machine settings are correct before operation.
• Maintain quality and efficiency throughout machining processes.

Technical Proficiency

• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Apply appropriate machining techniques based on material type.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining challenges to maintain workflow.
• Have a very high understanding of machining plastic and knowing the different types.

Quality Control

• Conduct in-process and final inspections to meet quality standards.
• Identify and correct defects while ensuring compliance with specifications.
• Maintain accurate records and collaborate on process improvements.

Workplace Organization & Safety

• Follow all SOPs, safety guidelines, and company policies.
• Keep the workspace clean, organized, and hazard-free.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.

Documentation & Reporting

• Complete job sheets accurately and promptly.
• Ensure all completed work records are correctly stored.

Teamwork & Conduct

• Foster a positive and respectful team environment.
• Contribute to a collaborative and efficient workplace.
• Maintain punctuality, reliability, and professionalism.

Manual Stacker Operation (If Trained)

As part of your role, you may also be responsible for operating a manual stacker for material handling tasks, ensuring safe and efficient movement of heavy loads.

Key Duties:

• Safely lift, transport, and position materials.
• Ensure proper alignment and weight capacity compliance.
• Conduct pre-use inspections and report malfunctions.
• Maintain workplace safety and follow lifting protocols.

Skills & Requirements:

• Understanding of safe material handling practices.
• Ability to operate a manual stacker confidently.
• Awareness of workplace safety regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
