Job description

We are currently seeking to appoint a confident and nurturing Key Stage 1 Teacher to join the staff team at one of our welcoming Primary Schools based in Leeds (LS20). You will provide full-time maternity cover from June 2025, supporting the effective teaching and learning of pupils across the KS1 curriculum. Previous subject knowledge at key stage 1 is desirable, although not essential. The school is seeking a talented individual with the ability to bring learning to life and engage children of all abilities in active learning. You will make positive contributions to the curriculum experience, ensuring suitable progression and understanding on lesson content. We welcome applications from ECTs and experienced Teachers, you can expect to earn up to £230 per day for this role depending on experience.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be able and keen to contribute to the development of teaching, learning and assessment across the primary age range;
  • Be able to work effectively with others to develop high-quality practice across the school;
  • Have excellent communication, inter-personal and organisational skills;
  • Have a creative outlook and flexible approach to learning.

We are seeking applicants with:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent;
  • Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for their subject;
  • Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum;
  • An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us;
  • Right to Work in the UK; unfortunately, we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship.
