Procurement Planner – Fresh produce

Our Client is a dynamic, innovative, and established Fresh Produce business, currently achieving high levels of sustained growth across their category. We currently offer an exciting opportunity to join the business as Procurement Planner.

The position of Junior Procurement Manager will report to and work closely with the Procurement Planner, to ensure the efficient and timely procurement of fresh produce raw materials.

Responsibilities include:

1. Procurement of Fresh produce raw materials, packaging, and the management of trays & pallets
2. Negotiating price and managing quantities & delivery schedules
3. Complete customs paperwork and maintain procedure knowledge
4. Stock Control management, reducing waste where possible

This is an integral part of the team and requires a driven & energetic individual who is seeking the opportunity to join a successful and fast-paced business. This role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of products within the Fresh Produce sector.

We are looking for an individual with:

1. Some procurement (importing and UK production) focused experience opposed to more supply chain.
2. Experience within a Procurement Planning position would be highly advantageous.
3. A Graduate with relevant Degree / Qualification; Purchasing / Buying, Supply Chain, Business.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build key relationships.
5. Confident IT ability, managing data with attention to detail.
6. Fresh Produce sector exposure.

Salary: up to £35k offered & reflective of experience + excellent benefits
