Job description

Ovarro is a market-leading provider of remote solutions to monitor and control critical, national infrastructure throughout the world. Our connected technology is always there, always on.

We're looking for a Hardware and Mechanical Engineer to support our range of leak detection loggers.

Responsibilities

  • Contributing to and working on electronic design of new products, taking into account all the requirements.
  • Document and ensure validation of all designs is performed and to the appropriate level.
  • Collaborate with the production engineering team to ensure smooth transfer of new products into manufacture.
  • Collaborate with production engineering to produce test equipment and procedures for new products to verify the correct operation of hardware.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of current designs, and fault find problems, ensure full root cause analysis is performed and where necessary modify designs.
  • Generate and release drawings and associated BOMs for new products, adhering to the company processes.
  • Work with production engineering to produce prototypes of new products for approval.
Experience

  • Experience in designing electronic and mechanical hardware, investigating and defining problems and resolving issues.
Skills

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or similar subject or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Knowledge in the design of analogue & digital circuitry and power supplies.
  • Knowledge of the design processes and best practices (schematic design).
  • PCB layout design/verification.
  • An understanding of PCB assembly processes and technologies.
  • An understanding of mechanical design and development.
