Job Description

Lead AV Engineer – join one of the UK’s leading AV and Home Cinema Installers!

The Company: We are an established and renowned AV/Home Technology/Home Cinema company based in Tenterden. We have a strong reputation for the excellent standard of our engineering and for the care we take with our team.

The Position: We are looking for an experienced AV Engineer to join our field-based team.

  • We offer a company van, tools and ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Starting salary negotiable depending on experience. We will provide you with full training and support to help make the most of your skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation of AV systems, data networks, control systems and home cinemas: 1st and 2nd fix, and system commissioning.
  • Rack building and testing.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless communication and project execution.
  • Drive to various locations to perform installations and service calls, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Commit to your ongoing learning and development, including job specific learning and health and safety certification.

Requirements:

  • We are looking for a candidate with a strong work ethic, natural problem-solving abilities and a can-do attitude! You should love technology, have a curiosity for new and emerging home automation, and have a strong desire to keep learning and improving.
  • It is essential that the applicant has experience in AV installation, and excellent IT and communication skills. The applicant may also have expertise and experience in installing Lutron and Crestron home technology systems, home cinemas, entry systems, data networks and other relevant systems, although full training will be given. The applicant should also have confident client liaison skills.
  • Most of our installation work is within London and the South East, but we do have projects further afield within the UK. The candidate should be happy to work predominantly in the field, in and around London, with regular office-based days in Tenterden for administration, de-brief, training and development.
  • Our installations are completed during the working week, but there may be the need to cover service and support, out of hours.
  • The candidate should have a full UK driving license and be eligible to work in the UK.
