The Waste Collections Team has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketing and Education Officer. We are offering a fixed term position of 1 year initially to assist our team in reducing residual waste levels whilst increasing recycling levels through multiple projects created by the successful candidate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and delivering a recycling education programme to schools and/or groups within the borough and informing them of associated collection requirements and specified waste streams in line with simpler recycling. They will also work to increase recycling levels, reduce residual levels, and promote changes by engaging with crews, residents, and businesses.
The successful candidate will have a detailed understanding of simpler recycling and an ability to reduce residual waste levels while increasing recycling levels through frontline-based projects. They will also need to create dynamic presentations to take into schools and resident forums to further increase recycling levels.
