The Role:

So, what will you be doing as a Project Accountant?

1. Analyse programme costs, forecasts, and financial performance, challenging and supporting Project Managers (PMs) and Work Package Managers.
2. Ensure timesheet accuracy and monitor labour costs on a weekly/monthly basis.
3. Maintain financial schedules, sub-ledgers, and programme reporting.
4. Perform variance analysis on costs, scope, and schedules while identifying and mitigating risks.
5. Track resource requirements and monitor against actuals.
6. Prepare financial customer reports and assist with programme cash flow and gross margin analysis.
7. Support PMs with financial reporting tools, budgeting, and forecasting.
8. Conduct formal quarterly Programme Cost Reviews and provide financial insights to Senior Management.
9. Ensure timely invoicing and assist in resolving overdue payments.
10. Support month-end closing processes and contribute to FP&A activities.

What we are Looking For in our next Project Accountant?

1. Strong analytical skills with experience in financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
2. Ability to challenge and support stakeholders to drive financial accuracy and efficiency.
3. Proficiency in financial systems and Excel-based reporting tools.
4. Experience in defence, maritime, or engineering sectors is a plus.
