FINANCE ANALYST

Overall purpose of the job:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Finance Analyst to join our team here at Quai Digital in Peterborough as a part of our Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone taking the next step in their finance career and looking to build on their existing sector knowledge.

Quai Digital undertakes administration of cash and securities relating to lifetime savings (mainly SIPPs and ISAs). The finance team takes responsibility for the monitoring and reconciliation of all customer account balances and transactions. Reporting to corporate clients (investment advisors, asset managers, and brokers) about processing issues, reconciliations, and facilitating the regulated clients reporting to the FCA (under CASS rules).

Main Activities:

1. Daily Reconciliation of Cash (Internal & External reconciliations), Assets, and Portfolio (Securities).
2. Compilation of information for daily payments and inputting into various banking and e-payment systems.
3. Processing of cheques received.
4. Uploading of files onto Bottomline (Mandate, Collection, BACS, Investor, and Portfolio).
5. Uploading of files onto the SUN Ledger system.
6. Maintain the day-to-day accounting records of ISA and SIPP holders.
7. Working to strict deadlines on daily and monthly cycles. Flexibility to meet deadlines needed.
8. Monitoring shared inboxes.
9. Ad-hoc projects as required by the Finance Team.
10. General Ledger postings and account reconciliations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Personality:

1. Previous experience and knowledge of financial products (SIPP, ISA, GIA, LISA) is highly desirable.
2. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to liaise with employees across all levels.
3. Ability to work within an extremely challenging and busy environment.
4. Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise workloads and have excellent attention to detail.
5. Be flexible and a strong team player to collectively achieve deadlines.
6. Have a positive and can-do attitude.
7. Integrity and professional behaviour must be applied at all times.

Education, qualifications, and special training:

1. Interested in the pensions and investments sector.
2. Experience of operational finance or financial services.
3. Intermediate Excel experience.
4. Experience in a similar role is desirable.
5. Finance qualification is not essential but desirable or QBE.

Location & Hours:
Quai Digital, 16 Tesla Court, Innovation Way, Peterborough, PE2 6FL
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
