We are looking for a Surgical Care Practitioner with strong Urology Robotics or Gynaecology experience to join our Theatres at The Princess Grace Hospital currently rated “Good” by the CQC. The theatres across our facilities provide a vibrant, exciting and professional environment where the advanced equipment and technology are second to none. We work with World Class Surgeons and the latest innovative technology and equipment including the Da Vinci Surgical system and have performed over 500 robotic procedures with 2 Davinci robots currently.

The Princess Grace Hospital is recognised as one of the leading multidisciplinary private hospitals in London. The Seven theatres at the Princess Grace provide a vibrant, exciting, and professional environment where the advanced equipment and technology are second to none including a hybrid theatre, a robotic surgery suite, and 3 laminar flow theatres for orthopaedic surgery.

The theatre team comprises Consultants and Practitioners who have vast experience and knowledge across a range of specialties. There are many complex surgeries carried out by world-class surgeons, including Ortho, Robotics and Urology, General, Gynae, Breast, and Spinal.

What you will do:

1. Support Robotic surgery within the department. This is a clinical bedside assistance role with no patient clinics involved.
2. Responsibility to the consultant surgeon, with day-to-day work under the direction of the operating surgeon and as a member of the surgical care team.
3. Patient assessment and preparation for surgery.
4. Effectively manage the clinical area on a day-to-day basis and plan ahead.

What you’ll bring:

1. Qualified Surgical Care Practitioner (Essential)
2. MSc, PG Cert, PG Dip Surgical Care Practice
3. Strong Robotics, Urology or Gynaecology Experience Required
4. Registration as a healthcare professional (e.g. nurse or ODP) with a related honours degree
5. Recent experience in theatre nursing
6. 2-3 years experience working as a Qualified Surgical Care Practitioner.
7. An aptitude for clinical and operative practice
8. The ability to effectively manage the clinical area on a day-to-day basis and plan ahead.
