Bailey Partnership is an award winning consultancy practice looking to recruit a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our Maidstone office, starting in Summer 2025.

Established in 1971 and operating from 10 offices across the South of England, East Midlands & Manchester, we are a Building Top 150 consultancy offering Architectural, Interior Design, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Fire Engineering, Project Management, Civil & Structural Engineering, Building Services Engineering, and Town Planning services.

The successful candidate will be required to act on behalf of both public and private sector clients across a complete range of projects.

Key Duties:
  1. Generally working with the team and assisting senior staff both in the office and at site visits
  2. Undertaking training with the aim of achieving chartered status
  3. Document management in accordance with QA procedures
  4. Preparation of cost advice in accordance with RICS guidance notes (including order of cost estimates, viability reports, formal cost plans, cash-flow forecasts, life cycle and whole life costs, etc.)
  5. Preparation of tender documentation and administration of tender processes
  6. Preparation of contracts
  7. Post-contract cost management (e.g. administering change control processes, valuing variations, assessing contractor’s claims)
  8. Preparing valuations for progress payments
  9. Preparation of post contract cost reports
  10. Preparation of final accounts
