Vacancy Description

As part of this role, you will work under the direction of a teacher or line manager to support individual pupils or small groups. Your responsibilities will include supervising the physical and general care of pupils, including those with SEN, supporting their access to learning, and assisting the teacher in managing the classroom and pupils effectively.

We are looking for someone with good levels of English and maths, experience working with children with SEN, and excellent communication skills to engage with colleagues, parents, and professionals. Most importantly, we’re seeking someone with a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development in early years and key stages.

Specific requirements:

  • Good levels of English and maths
  • Basic knowledge of first aid
  • Ability to use basic technology (e.g., computers, video equipment, photocopiers)
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues, parents, and other professionals
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children and adults
  • Passion and commitment to working with children to support their development, particularly in early years
  • Ability to work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities
