The Opportunity

A rapidly scaling SaaS business has recently secured growth equity funding to accelerate their international expansion. Having been bootstrapped to £10M ARR, they are now at an exciting inflection point—poised for further international growth organically as well as via acquisition. To support this journey, they’re hiring their first CFO to establish and scale a best-in-class finance function from the ground up.

The Role

As the CFO, you will be a critical part of the leadership team, responsible for building a finance function that drives strategic growth, financial discipline, and operational efficiency. This is a hands-on role where you will roll up your sleeves to implement systems, enhance reporting, and set the financial foundations to support the company’s next phase of expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish scalable processes, systems, and controls from scratch.
• Partner with the CEO and leadership team to drive financial planning, forecasting, and strategy.
• Implement robust financial reporting frameworks, ensuring investor-grade accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee cash flow, budgeting, SaaS metrics (LTV, CAC, churn, etc.), and working capital management.
• Support international expansion, pricing strategies, and M&A opportunities as we scale.
• Manage relationships with investors, prepare board reports, and shape future capital strategies.

Who You Are

• Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• A seasoned finance leader with experience in SaaS or technology businesses (ideally in a high-growth and/or investor-backed environment).
• Hands-on and execution-focused—comfortable building from scratch, not just managing established structures.
• Deep knowledge of SaaS metrics, revenue recognition, and FP&A.
• Experience with fundraising, investor relations, and board-level reporting.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, international environment with an ability to scale finance in alignment with growth.
