We work with clients to help them understand & influence fan behavior, including spending habits, event attendance, and content consumption. Our platforms and services are trusted by over 900 clients globally, including the English Premier League, Red Bull, UEFA, VISA, the NFL, Nike, and Amazon. We are almost 1000 people based out of 14 offices, delivering work for sports and entertainment businesses worldwide.
What You Will Do
As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking to expand our Data Ops and Engineering team. This mid-level Agile Delivery Manager role is critical in driving innovation and ensuring high-quality work for our clients. The Agile Delivery Manager is responsible for leading and implementing Agile principles while working alongside Developers to ensure teams benefit from these methodologies. They will act as a facilitator to remove blockers and enable ease of working using Agile principles, ensuring successful delivery by the technology team.
This role will work closely with client-facing teams to ensure understanding of high-impact and detailed requirements.
Your main duties & responsibilities:
- Understand objectives of Client Projects and the role our Technology team plays in them, ensuring we work together to achieve them successfully.
- Guide and manage your team towards success using high-level planning and a detail-oriented approach. Oversee all team duties, ensuring delivery milestones are met.
- Maintain and develop positive working relationships with stakeholders and colleagues, collaborating to define and refine requirements, backlogs, and priorities.
- Support and empower multi-disciplined teams, ensuring they are motivated and collaborative.
- Maintain and deliver a roadmap of work in accordance with business priorities.
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies ensuring delivery to agreed timescales.
- Facilitate, coordinate, and manage SCRUM ceremonies such as planning, refinement, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, championing an agile mindset across the team.
- Oversee successful delivery into production, identifying obstacles and helping the team to overcome them.
- Lead, influence, and coach others on the implementation and adoption of best practice Agile methodologies.
- Excellent facilitation skills and change management experience.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills and a passion for Agile.
Requirements:- 2 years experience in delivery.
- Proven experience leading delivery within software development or technical engineering for multiple concurrent clients.
- Experience working with multi-disciplined matrix teams.
- Significant knowledge of introducing and coaching Agile methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
- Hands-on knowledge configuring and using tools that support agile and collaborative working, e.g., Jira, Confluence.
- Good understanding of the holistic lifecycle of Software Development and experience implementing DevOps practices.
- Understand and advocate DevOps culture and squad mentality in SDLC.
- An analytical mindset with a passion for data.
Experience with the following would also be beneficial:- Technical understanding of BI solutions and a Cloud Data stack.
- Experience in, or a keen interest in, the business of sport.
