About Our Client

Our client is a well-established, medium-sized public affairs agency with a broad range of clients in energy, transport, education, FS, NFP, etc.

Job Description

  1. Lead and manage public affairs campaigns for a diverse range of clients.
  2. Develop strategic communications plans that align with client objectives.
  3. Provide advice on policy, political and stakeholder issues.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the industry.
  5. Represent clients in meetings with government officials and stakeholders.
  6. Provide expert knowledge on a broad range of sectors and relevant policy developments.
  7. Collaborate with internal teams to deliver client projects.
  8. Drive new business development efforts.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Account Director should have:

  1. A creative approach to political comms, with a good track record in implementing communications strategies;
  2. The ability to manage complex and fast-paced client programmes;
  3. A good working knowledge of politics and how the media works;
  4. Strong writing and presenting skills;
  5. Commercial awareness and a new business focus;
  6. Excellent political network;
  7. Strong understanding of public affairs and experience devising and implementing creative campaigns which drive meaningful, measurable change in outcomes;
  8. Experience in a public affairs agency or very politically 'plugged in'.
