Role: Senior Quality Systems Engineer
Location: Gloucester
Job Type: Permanent | Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Reports to: Head of Quality | Direct Reports: Quality Systems Administrator
What You’ll Be Doing
As part of our quality team, you will:
- Lead and enhance our Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with top industry standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949, NADCAP).
- Keep our Quality Manuals and Procedures relevant and user-friendly.
- Conduct internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and drive meaningful improvements.
- Be the key contact for customer, regulatory, and certification audits, ensuring we consistently meet high standards.
- Support the introduction of new products and processes, ensuring quality is built in from the start.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, making our operations more efficient and sustainable.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, adopting new quality management technologies and best practices.
- Work closely with colleagues across different teams to embed a culture of quality and collaboration.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong background in Quality Engineering within a complex, AS9100 Rev D manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience implementing and maintaining quality systems in a highly regulated sector (preferably aerospace or automotive).
- Hands-on experience with key Quality methodologies such as APQP, PPAP, PSW, FAIR, ISIR, SPC, and Control Plans.
- Understanding of engineering drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills—you see challenges as opportunities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with teams across the business.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high standard of quality.
